Experience
At SC Injury Law, my practice is totally dedicated to representing people hurt by the negligence of others across the full spectrum of personal injury litigation. A depth of experience underlies every facet of my client service.Prior to immersing myself in full-time plaintiff’s work, I worked at several renowned defense firms where I learned firsthand the hidden and complex inner-workings of trucking companies, industrial operators, and insurance companies. Earlier in my career, I worked for the State of South Carolina’s General Counsel of Litigation by prosecuting corporations with abusive tax structures. I now work exclusively to hold individuals, companies, and insurers accountable for careless actions and reckless corporate governance. I do not shy away from the myriad corporate and legal complexities which can stand in the way of restoration and accountability.
Purpose
One principle I learned through my experience of prosecuting and representing corporations and insurers is that positive change rarely occurs unless the status quo is costly. I have experienced from both sides of the courtroom how the civil justice system is critical to the alignment of community values with personal responsibility and safe corporate behavior.
I formed SC Injury Law with the purpose of pursuing brave results built by hard work and guided by tested character. We apply a relentless approach to proving the merits of each client’s case in order to secure the best possible result for the client.
Understanding People
I approach each client’s unique case with skill, compassion, and the understanding that medical treatment and bills are often just the tip of the iceberg for the compensable harm suffered. The ways in which injuries can impact work, leisure, relationships, and the use and enjoyment of time must be addressed in order to do justice to the complete reality of each client’s experience. And we want the client to feel understood, well-informed, and confident throughout the process.

Client’s vehicle was struck by an alleged (but not criminally charged) drunk driver. Client suffered spinal injuries resulting in multiple surgeries. Through litigation a recovery for the client over 40-times the insurance amount carried by the at-fault driver was able to be obtained by diligent pursuit of the insurance carrier for bad faith in its claims handling.
Client’s vehicle was traveling down a highway when it ran into another driver’s vehicle that pulled out from a stop sign. Liability was contested by the defendant and the responding officer indicated the client as being the sole contributing party to the collision. Through litigation a settlement was reached for the maximum bodily injury recovery and a substantial punitive damages recovery.
Client was injured by dangerous equipment on the defendant’s property. Liability and the extent of the injuries were contested by the defendant who blamed the client as being the sole cause of the accident. After several days of trial, the jury returned a verdict finding in favor of the client which exceeded all pre-suit settlement offers.
